About The Tykocki Lab
Originally, the Tykocki Lab was just…well…me. I started my lab after my postdoctoral research turned into a faculty position at The University of Vermont. Here is where all the projects you see on our site were hatched — and where many of our collaborators still are located.
Now, the lab has moved to the beautiful campus of Michigan State University: my alma mater, and long-time favorite place to live. We’ve tripled in size, and continue to grow. Are you a graduate student and interested in our lab? Join us for a research rotation!
But there is more to our Lab than science. It’s about people.
Camaraderie, creativity, and fun are as much a part of our lab as is the science itself. We strive to help each other be our best selves, every day! How, do we do this? Please take the time to read our Lab Culture Statement — I think this is something every lab should do. We all need to be advocates for a strong, equal and open community of science.
